“The actors get bigger talent fees compared to singers because they have more endorsements and they do teleseryes but if we are only talking about earnings as a singer, I believe I am quite comfortable with my talent fees,” added Christian.
The movie Jayden’s Choir reportedly has a budget of half a million US dollars (equivalent to Php 225 million). It is directed by Awi Suryadi who has helmed 9 films in the past, including the hit Indonesian movie of 2010 titled I Know What You Did On Facebook.
“I have to change my mindset about not being based in the Philippines the way Martin Nievera, Lani Misalucha and Lea Salonga are since they have had more work abroad than here of late,” he told Bulletin Entertainment and select members of the press during a gathering for his continued endorsement of Ink-All You-Can.

He got to work with Indonesian actress Iwa Ribowo, who plays his mom in the movie. “I thought she would be my leading lady. She looks so young, even though she’s a veteran actress. She’s generous with acting advice, too. She made me feel relaxed on the set,” Bautista recounts.
He also shared the screen with a Filipina singer, Maribeth, who’s now based in Jakarta. He recalls, “She’s been living there for a long time. She taught me about Indonesian culture.”
Despite having to leave the country for the next four months to work on the TV series The Kitchen Musical in Singapore, Christian Bautista is also excited about the premiere of his first international movie, A Special Symphony, which he shot for two months in Indonesia last year.
